Supporting and connecting the U.S. Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance community through professional development, recognition, heritage, and scholarship opportunities. MPA partners with WOASF to extend educational support to eligible families within its community.

Dedicated to preserving Theodore Roosevelt’s legacy of leadership, service, and citizenship, the Theodore Roosevelt Association also maintains a longstanding connection with USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71). Through its partnership with WOASF, TRA helps create educational opportunities for families connected to the ship.

Created to support the commissioning of USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), the committee brought together donors and community leaders to enhance the lives of the ship’s crew and families. Its support included a $125,000 contribution to Wings Over America to establish educational opportunities for Ford families.

A volunteer-led organization supporting the families of the VAW/VRC community through Memorial and Merit Scholarships. VVOSA partners with WOASF to streamline the application process and expand educational opportunities for Hawkeye and Greyhound families.
Scholarships at WOASF are supported in many ways—from corporate and nonprofit funding to named, memorial, and endowed scholarships that honor legacies and create lasting opportunities for students.
Named scholarships are supported by corporations, foundations, associations, families, and individuals who choose to create scholarship opportunities in their name or in honor of a person, organization, or legacy. WOASF’s recent named scholarship supporters have included organizations such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, First Command Educational Foundation, Tailhook, and others.
Memorial scholarships honor the lives, service, and legacy of members of the Navy Aviation community and others connected to WOASF’s mission. WOASF’s memorial scholarships have recognized individuals, fallen aviators and aircrew, and families whose stories continue through educational opportunity.
Endowed scholarships are designed to provide long-term scholarship support. WOASF’s endowed scholarship portfolio includes four-year renewable scholarships established by families, individuals, and supporters who want their commitment to education to continue for future generations.
Organizations support WOASF beyond scholarships through event sponsorships, campaigns, workplace engagement, outreach, and community collaboration.
In 2026, WOASF and its administered partners combined to award 99 scholarships totaling $356,500 to 79 scholars across 26 states and Navy Aviation families overseas.
